This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.

The fried wanton is damn nice loh! Once ya start eating, ya can't stop man...!

The stall is located Cuppage Plaza level 1, trust me ya wont regret trying out this wanton mee!

today i lost a big potential client to one of my competitors and here's the reason by my client: "management have decided to chose 15XX as their rates are slightly lower and mainly due to the good relationship their pabx vendor and this 15XX provider has." tried to salvage this big potential account by saying and offering whatever i can but client advice that they have already finalize on their decision and will not further explore even if i can offer a better quotation... .. .

LP and I attended a seminar held at Pan Pacific S'pore (Great Expectations Seminar), it's a seminar that talks about pregnancy. The seminar ended at 5pm and it was raining... Due to Comex held at Suntec, the crowd around the area is just so scary... .. . Not expecting to be able to get a cab, we tried going thru the City Link underpass and that's the only option for us since it's raining. OMG! It's totally jammed with humans! So bloody packed! Then when we finally reached Cityhall MRT, guess what!?!?!?! The shutters between the MRT and City Link is closed! I dunno why?!!??!! Luckily we found a door that's open by the side so we dun have to climb up the escalator that's not functioning at that point in time... Anyway it's just so scary man, the human congestion... .. . In future we shall stay at home when there's any major event, the country is just too small for so many people... .. . 

New hair cut

Cut my hair today, a new style my hair stylist has cut for me.

This unscrupulous company in Singapore used this tactics to lure mobile phone users to giving away their numbers..

By sending the SMS as a vote to their database, the law allows them to send the user sms at $4 a month at no more than 10 sms sent each month.

This means they can earn up to $40 from each user without the user permission as the permission was granted the moment the user sent the VOTE SMS.

I urge everyone whom stumble across my blog to remind their friends and family..Blog it, forum it, share it with others so they won't fall prey to this unscrupulous company that stoop to unethical tactics and charging for services which the user didn't opt for.To stop their services, send "STOP" to 72233.I hope the people whom work in this company die a painful and slow death for cheating young people. It's as good as those scammers sending out emails telling everyone they got tons of money in the bank and need someone from Singapore to help them unlock the bank etc etc.

KAOZ! what's wrong man! everyone should have expected it! Yahoo! Auction Singapore kinda stop functioning for months already and now they have decided to shut it down ... .. .

I started selling on Yahoo! Auction Singapore since 2005, now it's gone... .. . Anyway i have just shifted my online selling thingy to eBay, hope that the sales there would be better and more responsive than Yahoo! Auction...

The Power of CREDIT CARDS... .. . Does the plastic cards really define your financial status? Regardless whether is it a classic card, gold card or even platinum card, does it really matter?

I have come a long way to understand all these... In my early twenties, feeling "Young & Dangerous", holding a managerial position, wearing designer labels, driving a Honda Civic, have a LV wallet full of "GOLD cards" (Gold cards are very desirable back then as it's a symbol of ur income status), i guess i begin to lost myself, lost my responsibilities towards money, etc... .. Then i started to spend more than i earn and i was going thru a rough patch (family, relationship & career downfall) as well back then and finally landed myself in a undesirable financial crisis due to credit card debts. By the time i realised the SHIT i have landed myself into, it's all too late... I can't reverse my spendings, i have become a CREDIT CARD SALVE... .. . Along the way some of my bros have jump onto the same boat as i'm in, welcome to the CCDC - Credit Card DEBTS Club... .. . (Hey bros, i am not talking about you intentionally as ya can see there's no name mentioned.)

The following years were tough, i sold my car, kept changing jobs, cut away all social activities (means no more clubbing, outing with frenz, etc) and almost isolated myself to avoiding spending money... .. . Fortunately i didn't give up, i hanged on there and continue to work hard and learn how to handle my debts efficiently without paying so much interests to the banks... .. .

I survived, today i'm DEBT FREE, happily married and have my own house (still building though). I'm glad that i did not borrow money from my family & frenz despite the financial crisis i went through, i managed to settle them myself... .. . If not today i would be left with no frenz and become a debtor to everyone that's close to me... .. .

The reason why i am inspired to write this post is because of an old fren... Last weekend i bum into J (names shall not be mentioned) a common fren of XXX that we used to hang out with. XXX is my really good fren or i should say my bro, however due to my issues our broship ended almost 2 yrs ago... OK back to the story, had a chat with J and XXX came into the topic and J told me that currently XXX is not doing very well as he's in lotsa DEBTS and apparently worse then before... Other then credit card debts, he also owe a lot of frenz money... .. . I was shocked to hear that as i thought he's doing quite well for the past 2 yrs as he actually quit his job and started out on his own biz and also chg new car, what's more shocking is that his GF which someone i know is also in some kinda debts... .. . Well, i really dunno what to say... .. .

Dear readers, if ya in some kinda credit card debts and ya need help badly ya might wanna consider getting help from Credit Counselling Singapore. I have not received any help from them before but i read about them and they seems to be able to solve such problems so ya might wanna try.
